Ixtapan Spa & Golf Resort has 2 Spas within. Our Tradition Spa, is value oriented and has been catering to our American clientele for 55 years. The Holistic Spa opened in 2007 and is a unique high end experience. Both are Destination Spas and also Day Spas, sharing gourmet indoor and outdoor dinning, gym, lesson facilities and beauty salon. A La carte tr eatments are available on each, for participants on other programs or hotel non spa guests.

The goals of our Spa Classic Programs are to offer guests a complete spa and fitness vacation with all services included in one package price. 

10 & 14 Night VIBRANCE PROGRAM

Spa Vibrance Programs are 10 and 14 days, for guests who wish a longer, more complete spa stay. The Vibrance combines the resort’s traditional approach to spa and fitness with additional upscale services in the 5th Floor Spa. Vibrance includes specialized massages plus paraffin and herbal wraps and is spread out over a longer duration for maximum positive effects.

Treatments, Facials & Massages
Description
Swedish Reductive Massage (50 min)
Swedish reductive massages are 50 minutes in duration and cover the full body. Generally Swedish massages use 5 basic flowing strokes to relax muscles and reduce joint stiffness. They also assist in weight reduction. Clients can choose the intensity they wish from their massage therapist.
Shiatsu
Shiatsu is traditional Japanese hands on therapy which uses fingers, palms and especially thumbs to apply pressure to certain parts of the body's nervous system. The therapist seeks to find evidence of stress and dismiss it with focused pressure. Shiatsu is an Eastern practice still evolving as a curative practice.
Deep tissue sport massages
Deep tissue sport massages are more intense to relax athletic muscles but can be modified to the guest's tolerance or special need areas. Sports massages are also effective for every day stress points.
Facial with reflexology
(50 min)
Signature Facials are performed with organic products and masks made daily at the resort. The Signature facial is 50 minutes long and its goal is to cleanse, then moisturize and invigorate the skin. During the facial, a reflexologist will also massage the guest’s feet for a full relaxation experience.
Loofah Salt Glow
Ixtapan Spa's Loofah salt scrub will gently exfoliate and moisten the skin. Our therapist will use gentle massage to loosen dead cells and leave skin soft and glowing.
Fango
Our Loofah is followed by a Fango in the same treatment room. The Fango is a covering of warm soft mud, mixed with oils and applied to the body to penetrate and further relax muscles. The combination of Loofah and Fango enables our guests to reach a new level of relaxation.
Paraffin Baths
Paraffin Baths are used to soak hands and feet in soothing hot wax. The heat and gentle paraffin helps joint pain and muscle stiffness due to injury or sports, places moisture deep in the skin, and helps with cracked skin.
Herbal Wraps
Herbal Wraps are used for several results: detoxifying the body, cellulite reduction, inch and weight loss and skin conditioning. The body is wrapped in a warm cloth infused with herbs and minerals which draw out toxins and reduce inches. Guests may have their arms free or wrapped as they wish.
Hair Treatments
Hair treatments are done in our full service salon. Each treatment will use different vegetables and oils to give hair renewed shine. Treatments utilize various oils, tomato and avocado all effective in restoring life to over processed hair. During hair treatments, the therapist will also deliver a shoulder and neck massage.
Nail Treatments
Nails are bathed in oils and subjected to lightly applied heat in order to treat dry and broken nails and cuticles. Nail treatments are complemented with a professional manicure and pedicure.

Vibrance Lessons
Description
Morning Walks
Morning Walks begin with stretch exercises. Walks are usually divided by our trainers according to fitness and are approximately 50 minutes or 2 miles. The brisker walking group will encounter more hills and some rougher paths than the slower group. Both groups loop around so no one is ever left behind. The scenery surrounding these walks is lovely, with flowering trees, early morning bird life and panoramas of mountains and valleys. Some walks take place on our golf course past traditional haciendas.
Fitness classes
Fitness classes are held in our modern fitness center except for Aquatics. All equipment needed for these classes is supplied by the resort: matts, towels, balls, weights, bands, chairs ( for chair yoga). Instruction is in English and follows US standards with a saucy Mexican tint as in salsa aerobics. Aqua aerobics is held in our two heated pools and again all equipment is supplied pool side. Fitness classes can be done on many levels from beginner to advanced.
Tennis Lessons
Tennis Lessons are held on our lighted tennis courts. They are both customized for guests' individual expertise and experience.
Medical Supervision
Medical Supervision is available on request and there is usually an English speaking doctor on site. This local profssional is available for private appointments, not sponsored by the resort, for quasi-medical treatments such as botox .
